If you saw the movie “The Secret“, you will know that John Assaraf had a vision board that helped him manifest his dream house.
His vision board consisted of a wooden board, and some pictures he had cut out and put on the board. Among the pictures were a picture of his future house.
Everyday, he would look at the pictures, and imagine already having the item that was on them. He visualized how it felt to own them, or to be in the situation, he desired.
Then he moved, and the vision board was packed down in some boxes.
One day, a few years later, his son asked him what were in the boxes, and he unpacked his old vision boards.
He discovered that his visions had come true, and that he was actually living in the house, he had visualized himself living in so often.
You can do the same thing, of course, and create a wooden vision board. But in our modern days, why not make your own animated vision board, you can watch on your computer, or on your phone?
First step on the road to your animated vision board is to find the pictures of things or situations, you want to attract.
You can find the pictures online, or you can use your own pictures.
Gather all the pictures you want to use in a folder, ready to use.
Write some short, positive affirmations to go with the pictures.
You should consider the texts as headlines or titles. Let them express the goals you want to obtain, and use all the adjectives and superlatives you like.
Don’t just write: I am slender and fit.
Write: I feel so great about being slender, good looking, and fit.
Create at least one affirmation for each three-four images.
Second step is to animate your pictures, and you can do that in several ways.
If you have PowerPoint or KeyNotes installed, these programs are excellent for that purpose.
You can also use online services like Animoto.com for your pictures and short affirmations.
If you want your animated vision board to function as a screen saver, you can either get a program who can make you one, or – if you use a Mac – use the build in function.
With some programs, you can save your product as a movie, and even import it on your iPhone or iPod Touch.
Hopefully, this can inspire you to get started with your own animated vision board.
